The 60th edition of the Viña del Mar International Song Festival was staged from February 25 to March 1, 2019 in the open air Quinta Vergara Amphitheatre, with 500 SQM Absen LED onstage to achieve visual excellence and deliver the ultimate fan experience.
Considered ”the largest Latin event in the world”, the Viña del Mar International Song Festival is an incomparable musical event that has been held annually during the 3rd week of February in Viña del Mar, Chile. Started in 1960, it is the oldest and largest music festival in Latin America.
This year the six-day musical event features the local and international artists including Felipe Abello, Wisin & Yandel, Becky G, Marc Anthony, Backstreet Boys and more. With more than 15,000 local spectators, the event was broadcast live internationally on radio and on Chilean television over the years by TVN, Canal 13, Megavisión or Chilevisión, regularly breaking viewing records.
The event boasts a creative and elaborate stage integrating latest AV technologies including video, lighting, audio and LED etc. to develop a bold and big show aesthetic and deliver an unforgettable multisensory experience.
A combination of six semi-circular LED screens of Absen Polaris3.9 and Absen D4V Outdoor was used on the stage as backdrop as well as digital entrance for artists to enter and exit. The LED video walls were able to play videos, images and live streaming the performance. A number of LED strips rigged in the air and sceneries also added wow factors to the stunning show. At the rear of seating area, three Absen P4mm LED boards were mounted to play key show messages and sponsorship information.
